First Toadstools of Winter, Warrandyte

One year during the weekend of the warrandyte festival, I found this little group of toadstools in all their glory under a pine tree. Known as Amanita Muscaria, and often associated with fairies, although I didn’t see any in my 20 or so photos. This painting won second best watercolour at a combined art society art show. Now hangs in a private collection.
